With a Roomba on every floor of our townhouse I have three Roomba charging stations, one on each floor. But all too often I turn the Roomba on and it just seems to run endlessly, then when I check on it I discover that the docking station has been pushed out of the way and is now facing a wall or corner so the Roomba can’t find it.
Now why they didn’t program these things to avoid hitting the dock (since it can obviously tell where it is) is beyond me, but none the less there’s a simple solution to this problem.
Two-side tape.
Yup, that’s it. Buy yourself some two-side tape (or double sided tape, depending on where you’re from) and tape that sucker to the floor. Now the Roomba can bump into it all it wants, but it’s not going anywhere!
