It’s been a little bit since I blogged about my Quadcopter project, however things are coming along well. I just ordered what should be the second last part needed to get it in the air. This part was one of the more expensive parts, a Turnigy 9X transmitter and receiver module which started at 60 bucks but after adding shipping and converting it to Canadian it was double that. All I need now is to head down to the local hobby store and grab a battery for the quad. I’ll be sourcing that part locally since I don’t have much for options, LiPo batteries cannot be shipped by most companies.
So how’s my parts list looking? Well here’s the breakdown:

A2212 Brushless Motor and ESC | $14.91 | 11/4/2015 | 11/24/2015 | eBay |

3.5mm Bullet Connectors x10 | $2.52 | 1/17/2016 | Â 2/01/2016 | eBay |
Turnigy 9X (w/ 2 modules) | $121.96 | 1/31/2016 | HobbyKing | |
Total | $277.42 |
As you can see I’m already up to $277.42 Canadian, with a battery I’m looking at probably $350 for the whole setup.  So that’s about on par with what I expected going into this. Not bad if you consider the fact that the charger and transmitter are both shared items that can be used with any future quads I built.  Did I mention I plan on building a 250 racing quad after this?
That’s it for today’s update. Â Next time you hear from me will most likely be when I’ve got all the pats and am ready to start building. I plan on making a video of it to update my long neglicted Youtube channel. Â Until then!
