Getting tired of those annoying beeps while using Windows 10? You’ll find that even muting your computer has no effect on this. The solution is rather simple, start off by openning a command propmpt window as an administrator then run the following command:
net stop beep
sc config beep start= disabled
The first line will disable the beep for the current session of windows only. The second line will ensure that the setting persists after your machine is rebooted.
Of course keep in mind this will only disable the beep within Windows. If you are looking to disable the beep on post you will need to disable that within your BIOS, and you’ll need to look up how to do that for your particular motherboard.
